New and expanded events such as the Youth Mountain Bike Championships, the Eagle County Fair and Rodeo, Eagle YogaFest and the Eagle Wild Mushroom and Wine Weekend have begun to put the spotlight on the Town of Eagle as a weekend travel destination. The Town of Eagle has built an extensive mountain bike trail systems and has quickly become a well known; some say perhaps the Colorado equivalent to Utah’s famed Moab. In addition, over the past 5 years many new families and residents have moved to Eagle increasing the local population substantially; there is vitality through the Town as we are seeing busier restaurants, bigger crowds at events and more folks walking and biking around town.
A series of new roundabouts and pedestrian friendly pathways were finished last summer and a pedestrian and bike trail system has been constructed with its own I-70 overpass allowing residents the walkability to and from the neighborhoods, grocery store, the bowling alley, restaurants and Chambers Road commercial area. Another new bike path finished this summer runs from Gypsum through Eagle to Edwards with a newly built bike and pedestrian bridge over the Eagle River in Wolcott. New custom homes are again available and there are several new subdivisions planned in the near future. A new assisted living center is open in Eagle Ranch with another add-on building being built next door. In addition, the grade schools and high schools all are increasing in size.
Real estate home prices in and around Eagle have remained modest compared to the rest of the Vail Valley. There are a variety homes between $400,000 and $2,000,000 currently on the market.

Aptly named, The Eby Creek Mesa subdivision sits on a mesa north of the Town of Eagle, overlooking the Town and enjoying stunning views to the Sawatch Range and Red Canyon. More rural feeling in character than many other Eagle neighborhoods, this 220 lot neighborhood is characterized by larger lots, no sidewalks, and direct access to BLM hiking and bicycle trails.
